Unfinished Documentary on Nicolas Cage 'Superman' Film Has Trailer (VIDEO)

Superman Lives is coming soon -- in documentary form. Well, provided you pony up the cash to help finish it.

The unfinished, feature-length documentary about the unfinished Superman Lives film, scheduled to star Nicolas Cage as the titular Man of Steel, is close to completion. As part of a fundraiser to help finish the film, producer/director Jon Schnepp has released the first official trailer for The Death of ‘Superman Lives’: What Happened?, complete with first look at interviews with some of the principals involved in the process.

Director Tim Burton and screenwriter Kevin Smith appear in the documentary to discuss their time on the doomed project, while producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, production designer Rick Heinrichs, screenwriter Wesley Strick, costume designer Colleen Atwood, special effects supervisor Steve Johnson, storyboard artist Tim Burgard, and associate producer Derek Frey offer their thoughts. In short, it's everyone involved in the film short of the actors themselves. But then, Nicolas Cage in a documentary would be a bit beyond the pale. That man cannot be contained by reality.
