Ugly Betty - Be-Shure - Recap

It's the last episode of Ugly Betty before it moves to it's new home on Wednesday nights. It wouldn't be Ugly Betty if it didn't go out with a bang. Or in this case a Be-Shure. Betty and Hilda both have pregnancy scares, Claire is in search of her long lost son, and Willie is still trying to claw her way back to Mode.
Last week's bombshell was the news that Connor was still alive. Since his imprisonment, Wilhelmina has been enjoying daily visitation and all the perks that come along with it. If it means we get to see Connor shirtless, I'm all for it. While he appreciates Willie being with him, he doesn't want being in prison to be for nothing and sets out to help Willie return to mode. Daniel is still in search of the money Connor stole and has hired a replacement for Wilhelmina. That just won't do. Willie manipulates her way back into Mode. What else is new?
In other Mode drama, Claire decides to finally make contact with the son she gave up for adoption. She heads to South Dakota and she means business. Really. She's wearing jeans. Her son's name is Tyler and he's a lot older than I thought considering we've only been shown the photo of a child. He's a bartender and Claire takes a stool and lets him fill her in on his life story. She tips him 2 thousand bucks but accidentally leaves her name behind. It looks like Tyler recognizes that name.
The Hilda-Bobby-Archie and Betty-Matt-Amanda triangles are getting a little more complicated. Add in queasy tummies and ginger ale and it's not looking good. Both girls fear that they're pregnant and head to the drug store for some home pregnancy tests. No one in that house probably wishes they had a second bathroom more than Betty and Hilda who fail at hiding their tests and end up mixing them up. One is positive and the other is negative. Yikes. It's a mystery.
Keeping it a secret gets a little harder when Ignacio's date for Christmas dinner turns out to be the drug store clerk that sold the girls their tests. Matt, Archie, and Bobby join them and dinner turns into a tense affair. Matt sees Betty with a test but instead of panicking, he actually hopes Betty is the one who's pregnant. That's sweet but..kind of crazy. He gets her a second test and it comes out negative and everyone's relieved. Including Ignacio who was gonna kill himself had it been positive. Bahaha.
This means Bobby and Hilda are having a little delinquent baby. Hilda is crushed she made the same mistake again and Betty convinces her it's right to tell Archie the truth about how she feels about him. Fortunately for Hilda, Archie isn't stupid and has been sensing their lack of spark for some time now. He saves Hilda the trouble and breaks it off with her before she can tell him anything. Did she luck out?
I thought this episode was great. It answered a lot but still left some things out in the open to keep us curious until January comes around. Will Hilda tell Bobby about the baby? Will Claire's son track her down? Will Connor continue to grace us with his jumpsuit?
