Ty Simpkins Lands a Lead Role in 'Jurassic World'
Well, it's not Jeff Goldblum, Joe Mazzello, or Sam Neill. Basically, this isn't the casting news I've been waiting for. But any positive casting news is a good sign. It means it's finally happening!
Deadline is reporting that 12 year old Ty Simpkins has landed a lead role in Jurassic World aka "Jurassic Park 4." My initial reaction was similar to how Dr. Alan Grant would have responded back in 1993. However, it has dawned on me that every movie in the franchise has had a child in a lead role. Kids love dinosaurs.
The fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise is set to be released June 12, 2015. Bryce Dallas Howard has previously been rumored for a leading role as well. So far, there have been no confirmations for Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill to reprise their roles. (I need this to happen.)
I could weep out of hope.
But I am so excited for this movie!
