TV Ratings: 'The X Factor' Finale Down 45% From Last Year - 12/20/2013
A repeat of The Big Bang Theory had a 2.8 adult rating and 11.13 million viewers, the #1 and most watched show of the night.
The X Factor USA Season 3 finale had a 1.7 rating, down 45% from last year's 3.1 rating, and 6.2 million viewers.

The Sing-Off had a 1.2 rating and 4.44 million viewers.
The Year special on ABC had a 1.4 rating and 5.67 million viewers.
The X Factor USA can still be renewed, but on hindsight, these ratings really look bleak. There is no guarantee that the show will produce another Alex & Sierra next season, so the network will have to do some soul searching on this one.
I've changed my mind: I think The X Factor will be canceled. Simon Cowell's last minute grand-standing that the show will be renewed only shows how dire the situation is over there at FOX. The fact that he is going to offer FOX a new show for a possible new season means that it's over.
