TV Ratings Thursday: 'Big Bang' slips, 'American Idol' rises - 05/09/2014

The Big Bang Theory had a 3.7 adult (18-49) rating on Thursday, its lowest of the season, but more than enough to be the #1 show of the night. It had 14.17 million viewers, the most watched show of the night.

American Idol had a 1.6 rating, up from last week, and 7.07 million viewers. This however is still its second lowest rating ever and its second-least watched show ever.

The Vampire Diaries had a 0.7 rating and 1.6 million viewers.

Gray's Anatomy had a 2.3 rating and 7.47 million viewers.

Reign had a 0.5 rating and 1.47 million viewers.

Surviving Jack had a 1.2 rating and 4.10 million viewers. Note that Surviving Jack has been canceled, and yet is has similar to better ratings than FOX's Tuesday shows like Glee and New Girl -- I blame the Idol lead in honestly.

Elementary had a 1.5 rating and 7.50 million viewers.
