True Blood - Season 4 Episode 10 - Burning Down The House - Recap

The vampire massacre is still underway when Eric finally gets his hands on Bill. Before Sookie can get any closer, Bill shoots Eric with a silver bullet. Before anymore damage can be done, Sookie stops Eric from killing Bill with her powers. Eric is fine but he gets his memory back. While his past has returned to him, his time with Sookie hasn't been forgotten. He still loves her and wants to hear from Sookie that she still loves him despite his memory returning. Sookie is unable to just tell him that and has to say that she loves Bill too. Rude. I've been enjoying Eric and Sookie together. I hope they last.

Jessica has no guilt about sleeping with Jason but he's a wreck over it. He regrets it immediately and doesn't think he'll be able to look his best friend in the eye ever again. He blames it on drinking Jessica's blood and she's pissed he would suggest he doesn't have feelings for her. I dunno, Jessica is pretty cocky lately and kind of immature. I'm really starting to dislike her character. Jason is so torn up about things that he begs Jessica to glamour him into forgetting what he did.

In horrible news, Tommy is dying in Alcide's truck from being practically beaten to death by Marcus and his goons. Alcide wants to take him to the hospital but Tommy begs him to take him to Sam instead. Sam is horrified to see his little brother dying and immediately tries to get him some vampire blood. Tommy refuses and Alcide tells Sam he has a right to choose when he should die. Ugh. The following scene is so sad. Sam and Alcide try to comfort Tommy before he goes but Tommy just wants Sam to know how sorry he is. Sam is upset and wants Tommy to know how much he's loved and won't be forgotten. Tommy dies. OMG :( Did he really? I'm probably in denial. This sets off a big fire in Sam (and his screentime) because he is now on a massive hunt for Marcus and revenge. Marcus is on Debbie's couch ready to do her and give her a were-baby.

Bill and Nan are still at odds. Weird. I feel like Nan has been the HBIC for so long that having someone question her is unsettling. She'll probably die in the finale. Bill wants Antonia finally taken out so she can't be responsible for anymore vampire deaths. Bill doesn't care if he has to blow up the moon goddess emporium with Tara inside. Sheesh Bill. One step forward three steps back. What he doesn't know is that Antonia is actually unhappy with how things are going and doesn't think so much bloodshed is right. Marnie is the one convincing her to stay and conquer vampires.

Arlene and Terry catch Andy with V and give him an ultimatum. Get rid of the dirty habit or never see your nieces and nephews again. (Is he their uncle? I don't even know anymore.) Terry grabs him and takes him to their old tree fort for some target practice thus, proving to Andy that he has a problem and needs to admit it. Terry, happy to have finally gotten his cousin to see the light, celebrates by letting him walk all the way home. LOL. I love them.

Sookie can't let Bill just kill all of those innocent humans and her friend. I love how Bill saved Tara because he cared about her like two episodes ago. Pssht. Sookie recruits Jason, Jesus and Laffy to help get her out. Jesus volunteers to go inside and try and talk some sense into Antonia and save his friend Marnie. Jesus cannot get through the protective barrier around the shop. Antonia tells him that if he wants to get inside, he'll have to prove his worth by suffering through it. Jesus' demon head appears and he manages across. Antonia is happily shocked and allows him to speak to Marnie inside. Jesus is shocked to learn that it's actually Marnie that's calling the shots. Uhoh. Uhoh is right. All of this focus on Jesus lately makes me think he's next to die. :( Ugh. But he's so pretty.

Tara and Holly try a spell in Marnie's spellbooks to get the barrier released so they can all escape. Marnie/Antonia catches them and Sookie and Laffy run TOWARDS the shop for some reason. Marnie catches them all and brings them inside. Little does she know but Jessica, Nan, Bill and Eric have bought themselves a whole lot of leather clothing and are on their way to the shop with a bazooka. What the hell is this Mission Impossible scene?
