Transformers

I grew up watching Transformers, and I give this live action adaptation an all thumbs up. About 3/4 of the way it did not miss a beat, but when it did, it didn't really matter since it's a summer movie. Of course the hero gets the hot girl and the bad guys lose, and it had a nonsensical plot, but everybody should be happy. All we really came to see are machines fighting, and we got plenty of that. Some of the robot action sequences were just amazing, and I found Shia Labeouf quite an intelligent actor -- he made his lines work.

While watching the cartoon I really found Bumblebee quite annoying, but he's absolutely awesome here. And Optimus Prime, voiced by Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus, was exactly how we expected him to me.

I really enjoyed this movie.
