Top 10 Auditions for American Idol Season 6
Why I didn't do this sooner, I have no clue. This is American Idol! This is our show! This is our blog niche! What am I waiting for???
So here it is...
10. Blake Lewis
Blake is the champion beatboxer in Seattle, and unlike Simon, I think he's quite talented. Reminds me of Jon Peter... Lewis.
9. Sherman Pore
Sherman touched a lot of viewers' hearts by singing for his "lady" who died 2 days before his audition. There is now an online petition to guest him in the finale. Knowing how the producers have been bringing back the most memorable auditioners in recent years, I think there's a big chance it will happen. See you in 3 months Sherman!
8. Tami Gosnell
She sang Whipping Post! Loved it.
7. Lakisha Jones
Every season has a diva, and this year it's Lakisha. Yeehahaw... think!
6. Melinda Doolittle
I love her. So sweet. Genuinely humble personality.
5. Paul Kim
Paul Kim will be the Jasmine Trias of Season 6. The Asian-American interest in him is huge (basing on the traffic I've gotten on the blog lately -- from websites I never knew existed), and I think they are going to vote in droves.
4. Sanjaya Malakar
To quote the legendary Mrs. R: Thank Ganesh for Sanjaya! As predicted, because it is a known fact that I have the sensibilities of a little girl, we are in love with Sanjaya.
3. Sean Michel
Rumor has it that he refused to cut his hair which led to his elimination. We will find out next week. Seeing Sean Michel sing in the Finals with his Fidel Castro look would have been ridiculous but awesome at the same time.
2. Sundance Head
I still can't get over his name, but I recognize that he's a contender. He's now one of the most used keywords for American Idol advertising. Oh, and according to Don Wilson, Sundance likes to bite people on the ankle to make them remember him.
1. Chris Sligh
Great personality. Good singing ability. Very funny. I love the fact that he's not out to win votes by trying to appear "humble" which is what everybody does. He's just being himself and it works. Would love for him to win it all. Yes, curly hair rules!

There should still be few surprises in store for Hollywood week. I don't think they showed everybody. Who will be this year's Bo Bice or Elliott Yamin? The one purposely ignored during the auditions, only to shine come Hollywood, the Top 24 and beyond.
