Tonsillectomy - Post-op - Update

OK I confess! The past three days have been horrible. I'm now dependent on pain medication to save my sanity. Not even the blog can help (really -- although I still love all of you). It's all about the meds now. Pain medication can be addictive, but if you use it for pain, it's OK. Doh. Thank god. I've been worried about this, but the doctor-friends I've talked to say its OK to take the meds this long. They were prescribed for a reason. I will see my ENT-doctor on Monday.

Mornings are particularly difficult. I guess I can exhale through my nose now and swallow once, but I have not really noticed because once the medicine wears off, it's just painful. Breakfast now is a shot of Acetamenophen with Codeine -- and then I feel better. It's hilarious. Just one more week, Rickey, one more week...
