Tom Cruise is Being Sued For ... ONE BILLION DOLLARS!

Tom Cruise is being sued to the tune of one billion dollars (don't worry, we already made that joked in the title) and it's all over the screenplay for Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol.

Is that really how they stylized the title? Bizarre.

Timothy Patrick McLanahan is doing the suing, also targetting Brad Grey, Paramount Pictures, Skydance Pictures, Cruise/Wagner Productions and various others for copyright infringement because he claims they stole his script to make the latest Mission: Impossible film.

Court documents allege that McLanahan wrote his script Head On in 1998 which was taken to Cruise's agent without his knowledge.

Responded Cruise's lawyer, "Tom Cruise has never stolen anything from anyone.  This bizarre lawsuit against 13 people for combined copyright infringement and 'age discrimination' will be quickly dismissed by the Court."

Age? Discrimination?

In other news, we're suing Nic Cage for one trillion dollars because he stole the script for our original screenplay: Ghost Writer: Spirit of Vengeance.
