Tom Cruise Admits Katie Holmes Left Because of Scientology

While in a deposition for his $50 million lawsuit against a magazine who claimed he abandoned his daughter Suri, Tom Cruise begrudgingly admitted Katie Holmes left him in part because of his ties to Scientology.

During the sit down (which took place on Sept. 9) the lawyer for Life & Style asked Cruise if one of the reasons Holmes left him was because of the religion.

To which an uncomfortable Cruise replied, "Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes."

When asked if Holmes divorced him in order to "protect" Suri from Scientology an angry Cruise responded, "I find that question offensive… There is no need to protect my daughter from my religion."

Although he would go on to admit that Suri is no longer a part of the church as well as confess that he didn't see his daughter for 100 days while filming All You Need is Kill. However he did talk on the phone to her every day.

The lawsuit is currently ongoing.
