The X Factor Top 16 Reveal Postponed Until Tuesday

The scheduling fail of The X Factor reared it's ugly head tonight in spectacular fashion.

Let me give you a timeline:

1. NLCS Game 3 got delayed because of rain.

2. FOX announced that The X Factor will air right after the game. In the meantime, they air Ben and Kate.

3. At 8:40 PM ET, FOX decides to air The X Factor Top 16 Reveal show while waiting for the rain to go away in St. Louis. They also air the show on the West Coast at the same time as a gift.

4. At 9:50 PM ET, FOX switches to The Mindy Project while in the middle of Demi Lovato revealing her final 4.

5. A few minutes later a message on the screen says: "NLCS Game #3 will resume at 10:05 ET. X Factor will air in its entirety Tuesday at 8 PM ET/PT"

And that's it.

A semi-new show of The X Factor will now go against The Voice and Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday next week. The ratings will not be pretty.

The worst part: The show is still airing in Canada as I type this... so the show will actually get spoiled before it airs in full on Tuesday. (We already have the complete list in our live blog).

Take note: The live shows of The X Factor won't start until November 1 or 4, depending on what happens in the World Series. This is even worse than the scheduling conflicts last season.
