The Walking Dead - TS-19 - Season Finale

The first season of Walking Dead just concluded with TS-19 ("Test Subject" 19) on AMC. What a fitting end to a great season, short as it was with 6 episodes. I can't wait for the full 13-episode season 2 when it happens.
The episode started with a flashback of Shane trying to save Rick in the hospital -- which was now being overrun by patient zombies and the military killing every in sight. Shane tried to get out with Rick but when the power went out on the life support and Shane listened to Rick's heart -- he thought he was dead so he left him. He did close the door and blocked it with a hospital bed -- which probably saved Rick from the zombies.
So Rick and the gang enter the CDC after the crazy scientist opened the doors. He said that once the doors close, there's no getting out. Apparently, he was being honest and not just dramatic.
The scientist treats them to food and wine, and even hot showers. After Shane demands it -- he says that the rest of the scientists are gone because they couldn't face reality and committed suicide.
The next day, he shows them a video of TS-19 (who turns out to be his wife and the head scientist of the CDC in the big reveal in the end). It shows a MRI of the brain functions during infection, then death, then the resurrection when the person turns into a zombie. And then TS-19 got shot in the head. LOL
Rick asked about the countdown clock in the main chamber and then the scientist said that the generator will run out of power in 1 hour. What happens when the power runs out? The CDC computer announces: "Facility-wide decontamination will occur."
We find out that decontamination actually means: the entire place will be burned and pillage when a HIT - High Impulse Thermobaric device is deployed in the building. LOL Basically, the CDC becomes a fuel-air bomb so none of the deadly stuff gets out. Of course, the scientists informs everyone of this after he locks everyone inside the main chamber.
Somehow, Rick convinces him (with 5 minutes left!) to open the doors so they could leave the main chamber -- although getting outside was another problem. They use axes and a shotgun to break the glass but nothing works. Thankfully one of the women found the grenade Rick picked up during Episode 1 while washing his clothes and brought it along with her just in case. I loved this part! Rick uses it and the glass shatters. They leave just before the CDC blows up.
Also, two of the women stayed, but Dale was able to convince one of them to leave, just in time. And the scientist whispered something to Rick just before he left -- what could it be? We'll have to wait several months to find out.
I love this show!
