The Walking Dead fires writing staff

Frank Darabont, the writer, executive producer and director of AMC's The Walking Dead has fired the writers of the show according to Deadline.

The show is considering assigning scripts to freelancers next season.

io9 says that it may not really matter since Darabont had written most of the 6-episode first season anyway. Putting the show in the hands of freelancers who had nothing to do with the breakout first season however, may end up as a disaster. (Please no!)

I love this show. I should write more recaps about it. I'm not a blood and guts guy but the story has been compelling.
