The Voice - New Promo Videos
Here are new videos for the upcoming show The Voice on NBC. I'm so excited! Finally, a show that's all about singing. No judges save gimmicks and all that -- just singing.
The biggest twist of The Voice is the Blind Audition. The coaches/judges have their backs turned on the contestants when they audition so all they have to base their judgment on is "the voice" -- just like on the radio. If they like the singer, the coach will press a button -- and their seat turns around to reveal who the singer is and how he/she looks like. If more than one coach picks a singer, the singer gets to choose who he/she wants to be his/her mentor.
The second part is like X Factor. When the 4 coaches judges have their "teams" of singers, they eliminated one of them each week until the voting rounds where America gets to choose who they want to stay on the show. This is the part where the coaches "mentor" their teams - presumably teaching them stage presence, how to dress, etc.
The third part is where America votes.
I think it's going to be amazing. Frenchie Davis who was cut in Season 2 of American Idol due to scandal is rumored to be one of Christina Aguilera's picks. I am so excited!
