Tonight, the second half of The Voice's Sweet 16 take the stage! Team Adam and Team Cee Lo are up. The judges will also be performing alongside their teams. Afterwards, there will be an instant elimination of one person from each team. That will leave three. Tomorrow night, the highest vote getter will automatically move on and the judges will choose from the bottom two who moves forward.
Here is how last week went down, and the results as they happened.
Are you pumped?!?! Will we get any shock eliminations tonight?!?!
I will be live blogging all the action right here tonight. So, come back soon and often for my thoughts on the talent.

Will tonight be their last night?!
Jamar Rogers - Team Cee Lo - "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi
Hmm. Interesting song choice. His pre-performance package is focused on his recovering from addiction. There's fire!!! I just love these sets on this show. He's making some really subtle but cool melodic changes. His voice is very well suited for this song. As it progresses, there seems to be nothing really happening. His voice sounds great though in his upper register. He sure does nail those high notes.
Adam said it was amazing and mentions that Jamar was the first voice they heard during the blind auditions. Huh.
Cee lo declares his love for him. Jamar starts tearing up. Aww. Check out his full performance HERE.

Katrina Parker - Team Adam - "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri
Love this song. She sounds pretty great in rehearsal. Come on, girl, bring it! She's standing center stage in pink heart! As per the original, it's a piano-driven arrangement. Oh damn, look at her hair!!! Her vocals are warm and buttery on this song. Perfect fit. It looks like she's about to break down crying! She poured her heart into that performance. Her phrasing was off in parts, like she lagged behind and then had to catch up. However, her best performance.
Blake called it a breakout performance. Check out her full performance HERE.

Musical Performance - Team Cee Lo - "Dancing in the Streets"
OMG OMG OMG. Comparison to Idol much? Hehe. It gets a '50's black and white makeover. Cee Lo, Juliet, and Cheesa are singing inside a GIANT TV. That's kind of cool. I must say. Then, the rest of the crew enter from the audience and the cheesy choreography kicks in. YES.

Mathai - Team Adam - "I'm Like a Bird" by Nelly Furtado
Hmm. Interesting song choice. I hate the original, so this should be a joy ride. There are cotton candy-like clouds on the backdrop behind her. She's standing center stage. This song is kind of a lazy and predictable choice. OMG. There's an acrobat FLYING through the air. OK. That's awesome, but a little distracting. Vocally, Matthai is the same as always. I've never understood the buzz around her to begin with.
Xtina didn't feel like she connected with the song. She wanted something different from her and it felt force fed. Check out her full performance HERE.
James Massone - Team Cee Lo - "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel
Oh no. This song. He's now a ladies man apparently. The stage is set up with a house and he's singing to a girl in a window. There are trees. The arrangement is very jazzy, and he's not sounding that bad. He has a decent voice, but nothing I would jump up and down over. A girl in a green dress is playing saxophone in the audience. I can't. The whole performance is a little sleepy, and there was something off about the key change. At the end, the random window girl comes out and sits on the steps. That was creepy...
Blake and Xtina thought the performance just laid there, but Adam loved it. Check out his full performance HERE.

Musical Performance - Goodie Mob and Cee Lo
Does anyone remember this group? I seriously just had to Google them. OH, that's who they are. Well, they are reuniting and Cee Lo has joined them on stage tonight. In case you have no idea who they are, this is their Wikipedia page. How about some relevant music there, Cee? There's lots of smoke, fire, and gold suites.
Tony Lucca - Team Adam - "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears
Wow. Interesting to choose a song of Xtina's rival. Heh. They didn't mention his song or the artist before his performance. He's standing center stage with his guitar. There are white lights zipping across the stage. There are dancers in black hoods!!! I'm not completely sold on this, although, I understand what they were going for. This is definitely interesting and much better than some of the other performances we've seen tonight.
Xtina thoroughly enjoyed it. Blake thought that was a really smart move. Check out his full performance HERE.

Cheesa - Team Cee Lo - "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston
Oh. Whitney needs banned from every singing competition ever. Come on, Cheesa, bring the power! She's all decked out in a sparkly ensemble. Vocally, she's a little powerhouse. Sometimes, though, she doesn't demonstrate complete control over her instrument. With this material, she's certainly bringing it with the high notes. Some of them are pretty pitchy, though. Ouch.
Xtina applauds her for some courage and thought she managed to do her own thing with it. Check out her full performance HERE.

Pip - Team Adam - "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane
Great song, but so overdone. He's breaking out the piano tonight. Smart move. Dude needs to learn how to make love to the camera. It's swirling around him. Midway through, he gets up from the piano and works the crowd. Oh, that's not good. He should have delivered the entire performance with a nice stripped down arrangement. Vocally, he's all over the place. At the piano, he was fine. Hmm.
OUCH. Towards the end, he does this weird dance between falsetto and chest voice. It just does not work.
Blake thought it was a pretty good performance overall, until the end. Check out his full performance HERE.

Musical Performance - Team Adam - "Instant Karma (We All Shine On)" by John Lennon
Adam is playing drums! Pip is playing keyboard. His team's voices just don't mix very well. Katrina is definitely the stand out.

Juliet Simms - Team Cee Lo - "Cryin'" by Aerosmith
Love this song! Oh, she's wearing wings and she now has blonde hair! She's making some subtle melodic changes to this that I really like. As the song picks up, her vocals keep up. I wouldn't have picked a better song for her. At the bridge, she's laying it all out there. Damn girl. She can SANG! There are feathers falling down around her!!! Wow. Best performance of the night.
Xtina thinks she's fabulous and loves the way she roars onstage. Check out her full performance HERE.
