The Voice 2 - Quarterfinals Round 2 - Results - Live Blog - April 24, 2012
Tonight is The Voice 2 Quarterfinals Round 2 results show on April 17, 2012! Team Adam and Team Cee Lo will be put on the shopping block. Performing tonight is Florence + the Machine. Tonight, there will be a bottom two determined for each team–which will create a bottom four. Those four will then sing for their lives. Finally, the judges will save one contestant for their team. That gives two contestants left for each team to move on to the next round. So, who will land in the bottom four?
I predict Tony Lucca and Mathai to be the bottom two for Team Adam -- leaving Katrina Parker to skate through. For Team Cee Lo, I predict the bottom two to be Jamar Rogers and Cheesa -- with Juliet Simms automatically going through to next week. Adam will then save Mathai, and Cee Lo will save Jamar. At least, if the coaches have any sense, that's how it will go down.

Musical Performance - Florence + the Machine - "No Light, No Light"
Great song. One of my personal favorites from their her Ceremonials album. Blake, here is a girl who does "quirky" voice and nails it. Word. There are a lot of dancers on stage right now. Whoa.
Check out the performance HERE.

LAST CHANCE PERFORMANCES - Team Adam
Mathai - "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood
OMG. Are you serious? Why would you pick this song? This is like a death wish. NO ONE can pull off a Carrie song. This is completely the wrong song for her. It's way too big for her. Goodbye, girl.
Katrina Parker - "Perfect" by Pink
Oh. Good song. This may be the perfect song for her. Um, the band is really loud tonight. It's trying to drown her out. With that said, her phrasing was a little off at the start of this, but eventually got it together. Vocally, she's nailing the runs and the higher notes. It sounds like she's nervous. It looks like she's about to cry! Oh no!

ELIMINATED: Mathai
LAST CHANCE PERFORMANCES - Team Cee Lo
Cheesa - "Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson
Interesting song choice. Her voice sounds great on this. Her lower register is strong. I want to hear more of that. She's tender on the verses, and powers through when the chorus kicks in. She's having some liberties with the melody. Wow. She slayed that last note.
Juliet Simms - "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia
I freaking love this song. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I actually dig Juliet's rock voice on this. Wow, girl. This is how you lay it all out there. GO GO GO!!!
