The Voice 2 - Quarterfinals Round 1 - Results - Live Blog - April 17, 2012
Tonight is The Voice 2 Quarterfinals Round 1 results show on April 17, 2012! Team Xtina and Team Blake will be put on the shopping block. Performing tonight is The Wanted and fans will be treated to a world premiere of a clip of Justin Bieber's new video for "Boyfriend." After last night's instant elimination, my body is in shock. Tonight, there will be a bottom two determined for each team–which will create a bottom four. Those four will then sing for their lives. Finally, the judges will save one contestant for their team. That gives two contestants left for each team to move on to the next round. So, who will land in the bottom four?
I predict Jermaine Paul and Erin Willett to be the bottom two for Team Blake -- leaving Raelynn to skate through. For Team Christina, I predict the bottom two to be Ashley De La Rosa and Chris Mann -- with Lindsay Pavao automatically going through to next week. Blake will then save Jermaine, and Xtina will save Ashley.

MORE MALE STRIPPERS!!!!
Musical Performance - The Wanted - "Chasing the Sun"
Such a great song!!! Boy bands FTW!!! They sound great tonight - much better than on Idol! Lip sync? Eh. If they are, who cares?! They are cute and so charismatic. So many girl dancers!!! Check out their performance HERE.

Team Christina is up first!
Chris Mann...is SAFE!!!
BOTTOM TWO: Lindsay Pavao and Ashley De La Rosa
What a result, huh?!
Team Blake is now up!!!
Jermaine Paul...SAFE!!!
BOTTOM TWO: Raelynn and Erin Willett
Even on The Voice, America doesn't seem to like female singers. Heh.
LAST CHANCE PERFORMANCES - Team Christina
Ashley De La Rosa - "You and I" by Lady Gaga
OMG. Seriously?! The arrangement is total rock. Her vocals are a tad shaky sometimes. She's shown a lot of growth so far in the competition, but the favorite seems to be Lindsay. Overall, she did a pretty good job.
Lindsay Pavao - "Please Don't Go" by Mike Posner
She's back to what makes her so awesome! The arrangement is soft -- really allowing her vocals to shine. She's really caresses the words without over singing. This is exactly what she needed to do tonight! She breaks down crying at the end! OMG!
WORLD PREMIERE: There's Justin Bieber!!! He's actually there!!! He premieres a clip of his upcoming "Boyfriend" video! There are women's hands all over him, and he's trying to be Michael Jackson. What do you guys think?! Check out the clip HERE.
JUNE 19 is the OFFICIAL date of his upcoming album Believe.

Xtina chooses to save...LINDSAY!!!
ELIMINATED: Ashley De La Rosa
LAST CHANCE PERFORMANCES - Team Blake
Erin Willett - "Proud Mary"
A nice sultry song for the smooth-voiced girl. Her vocals sound pretty great tonight. Once the quick tempo kicks in, she works the stage and seems to keep up with the song. However, I don't really see anything special about her voice. She nails those glory notes.
Raelynn - "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry
I adore this song. This may just be the most perfect song for this girl. The arrangement is pretty low key, which really allows her twangy vocals to be highlighted. No matter what happens tonight, this girl could have a big career in Country music.

Blake chooses to save...ERIN!!!
ELIMINATED: Raelynn
Holy cow! Seriously, Blake, you save the Adele wannabe?!?! Raelynn could actually SELL RECORDS!!!
What do you guys think? Did the right two get the boot tonight?
