The Voice 2 - Finale - Live Blog Recap
It's The Voice Season 2 finale! This is it! After weeks of blind auditions, battle rounds, and live shows, we are down to the final four. Juliet Simms (Team Cee Lo), Tony Lucca (Team Adam), Chris Mann (Team Xtina) and Jermaine Paul (Team Blake) take the stage tonight for the last time. In addition to solo performances, each contestant will perform a duet with their coach. Exciting!
Who can win?!?!
I will be live blogging all the action right here tonight. So, come back soon and often for my thoughts on the talent.

Here we go! Carson introduces the four remaining contestants. "It's been an incredible season," he preaches. For the first time this season, we (the voters) have full control. We get surprise later on!!!
Video Montage: We relive each of their blind auditions and some previous performances.
The four coaches dish on their remaining contestants and what it means if they win.
Jermaine Paul - Team Blake - "I Believe I Can Fly"
You've got to be kidding me with this song -- such a lazy choice. He's standing center stage in a dashing suit and white jacket. Nice. Vocally, he sounds good, but there's nothing inspiring about this song if it's been done to death. Is there? He's backed by a choir and a string section onstage. Midway through, he powers through the notes -- verging on screaming. Certainly not the worst version, but nothing spectacular.
Xtina said the song was made for him and that's what this show is about. Cee Lo thought it was the perfect song choice for tonight's event and loved his look. Adam calls him "powerful" and an "incredible singer." Blake said he's learned things from Jermaine as his mentor. Check out his full performance HERE.

SURPRISE! Each contestant will be singing one of their coaches' songs to honor them!!!
Tribute - Juliet Simms - "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley
Not gonna lie, I love this song. Juliet sounds pretty great on this. She works the stage with confidence. Even if I wasn't biased towards her, I would still root for her just because she's a girl.
Duet - Chris Mann and Christina Aguilera - "The Prayer" by Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli
Love this song. Xtina's voice sounds pure and crisp tonight. I guess that happens when she's not over singing. I'm actually surprised that their voices blend pretty well together. Wow. Chills. Check out their full performance HERE.
Tony Lucca - Team Adam - "99 Problems" by Jay-Z
Interesting song choice. I'm not a Jay-Z fan, so I'm not familiar with this song. He starts it with a simple drum beat and handclaps. There's fire!!! I'm actually not hating this. Is that wrong of me? What is wrong with me? He works the crowd and is really rockin' this. Color me surprised. Not bad.
Xtina pointed out that it was a little derogatory towards women (YES). Cee Lo loved it and Adam said he did an amazing job. PLUS, he reveals his pink sparkly "Team Xtina" shirt. LOLZ. Check out his full performance HERE.

Tribute - Chris Mann - "The Voice Within" by Xtina
OH snap. This song. Loves it. Xtina is totes busting a gut. He sounds pretty good on this; I've just never been a big fan of this song. He Groban-ized Xtina!!!
Duet - Juliet Simms and Cee Lo Green - "Born to Be Wild"
Heck yes! They start out on motorcycles. Odd. Oh, she's no longer blonde! This song fits her style like a glove. I always find Cee Lo pretty awkward when he's performing -- or maybe it's his lack of performance or charisma onstage. Check out their full performance HERE.
Duet - Tony Lucca and Adam Levine - "Yesterday" by The Beatles
Tony is playing the guitar! Nice arrangement, but this performance doesn't stack up to Xtina/Chris' epic showing from earlier. Check out their full performance HERE.
Tribute - Jermaine Paul - "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton
This is great song; not sure I would pick this for a tribute. It's a love song. Blake sings it to Miranda. Also, Jermaine isn't country. This is rather middling. He has no chance to win whatsoever. Next!
Chris Mann - Team Xtina - "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban
Might as well give in, right? Predictable choice, but at this point, staying in your wheelhouse works. The arrangement is pretty subtle. There's a sign language interpreter on stage with him. Slowly, an orchestra peppers in and his voice just soars. I think he won me over tonight. Did he just win?!
Xtina is crying. Aww.
Cee Lo said he was one of the most incomparable vocalists he's ever heard. Xtina thanks him for having a moment with the duet. Check out his full performance HERE.

Duet - Jermaine Paul and Blake Shelton - "Soul Man" by Blues Brothers
Blake doing soul? This could be a train wreck. Blake starts out the song on the first verse, and not as bad as I had expected. Jermaine fits this song perfectly. Not hating his part. Overall, pretty meh. Check out their full performance HERE.
Tribute - Tony Lucca - "Harder to Breath" by Maroon 5
He's playing the guitar! I love this song! OK, he needs to learn to enunciate. I realize the verse are pretty rapid, but he could still hit those consonants harder. He starts to laugh midway through. LOL. Not bad, but definitely not his best performance. His solo and duet were better.
Juliet Simms - Team Cee Lo - "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Let's hope this is good. I love this song. I think she can do this justice. She's bathed in red light wearing queen-like garb. Yes, she's the Queen of The Voice. I actually think this is one of her best performances during the competition. Her voices soars just when it needs to. Some people have complained that this song choice is a cliche, but who cares? I thought that was terrific. The race is between her and Chris.
Adam thought it was incredible. Xtina said she was amazing and points out that Juliet is sick too. Cee Lo says that with Juliet on his team, he has no problems (points at his shirt). Check out her full performance HERE.
