The Secret Life - Accentuate the Positive - Recap
Since we didn't get a definitive answer last week on the status of Adrian's uterus, we get one this week when Adrian inhales a pizza. She then spends the rest of her morning hurling and seems resigned to the fact that she actually is pregnant. Ashley comes over to spend the day with Adrian and help her feel a little less like crap. Adrian confesses to lying to Ben about being pregnant because she knows he would never be able to handle it. The distraught look on the sausage prince's face was enough to help Adrian decide to keep her pregnancy to herself until her mom gets home. She will then sadly ask for a ride to the abortion clinic.
Everyone has been bugging Ben about the obvious. Early pregnancy tests, or positive pregnancy tests in general are almost never wrong. Ben is in no mood to deal with this and is in extreme denial. He wants to focus on screwing Grace over and getting back together with Amy. Amy's doing pretty good when she's not around her family. She's not as bitchy then usual but still goes to school with her bra and boobs hanging out. Classy. She gets into an amazing 4 week summer music program in New York City. She regretfully feels like she's obligated to turn it down because she has a son. But that's what the daddy is for!
No Madison drama this week but Jack is still on the hunt for a place to live for the year. He doesn't seem to have as many friends as he thought because no one wants to help him out. He can't stay with Madison, Ricky says no before he even finishes his sentence, and Grace and her mom don't want to be bothered. Poor Jack. I'd suggest Ben because the Sausage King has a huge house and I'm sure he wouldn't mind..but he's got enough on his plate at the moment. Jack smacks some sense into an extremely judgmental Grace. Someone finally voices, although not as strongly as it should be, the fact that it is NONE of Grace's business what Adrian decides to do. She has no right to judge her or try to influence her decision at all. I just want to smack Grace sometimes.
Ricky overhears Ben and his friends talking about Adrian's pregnancy test and he can't believe what he hears. He goes to confront Adrian at her house and asks if its true. Adrian can't answer him but he understood. He leaves with a shocked expression on his Danny Zuko face and goes to ruin Ben's day as well. Ben refuses to even discuss his denial and refuses to believe Adrian would lie. He really just doesn't want to face the fact that if Adrian was lying, she would more than likely go to the abortion clinic, which would hurt Ben. But if she didn't go to the abortion clinic, his relationship with Amy is pretty much screwed. He finally stops denying what he knows is going on and tells his dad the truth.
