The Secret Life - 411 - Recap

It's been a week and Amy and Ricky are still fighting over not being able to trust each other. Ricky is pissed Amy would go through his phone and this sparks a moral debate between the entire cast of the show. The majority of them admit to going through someone's phone now and again and claim it's a normal thing to do. Would you go through someone's phone?

Ricky gets a visit from a kid named Ethan. He used to live with Ricky's foster family and he's gotten himself into trouble for sending naked pictures of his underage girlfriend. This episode focuses entirely too much on this new kid. Is he sticking around or something? It almost feels like when sitcoms focus on random new characters so that they can test the audience for a possible spin off. It's kind of annoying and I couldn't care less about this kid.

Adrian and Ben finalize their split and go over their pre-nup. Even though it's not on paper, Ben's dad offers to let Adrian keep the ring and the condo. That's awfully nice of him considering he and Betty are splitting up as well. In return, Adrian offers to continue to be a friend with benefits to Ben. Surprisingly he accepts. What? What happened to like the past couple of episodes where he wanted nothing to do with her because she was trying to trick him into having a baby? Ugh. This show.

Adrian apologizes to Grace and Grace offers to hook her up with one of Daniel's friends to keep her away from Ricky. I don't think anything is keeping her away from Ricky except Ricky's willpower. Adrian is a horrible friend. She went from sympathetic to evil so quickly. Amy and Ricky go in and out of school trying to talk to each other and fix their relationship. Seriously why can the people in this show just show up to school whenever they want?? Amy and Ricky patch things up and that's literally the only thing that really happened in this entire episode.
