The Lying Game - Never Have I Ever - Recap

Now that Travis knows where Emma is hiding, he's using her situation to his advantage. He blackmails her to help him rob Sutton's parents and in exchange he'll leave town. Not wanting to hurt the family that's been so good to her, she arranges a bag full of costume jewelry hoping he won't know the difference. Unfortunately for her, that's going to come back to bite her later in the episode.

Laurel asks her parents to believe her when she says that nothing happened between her and Justin. Her dad agrees to help Justin find a place to stay so he's not squatting in deserted houses anymore. They get him a place to stay but he's hiding something in a box and seems really interested in Sutton's family. A picture of them all is inside the box. Creepy much?

Emma is having boy trouble too. With Travis in town, she's pushing Ethan away. When he goes to her house to see her, he sees Travis forcing himself on Emma and gets the wrong idea and ices her for the rest of the weekend. Sutton's parents are going away for the weekend so naturally, that translates into a party with plenty of booze and a game of Never Have I Ever. Emma gets drunk and realizes that she should get with Ethan while she still has a chance. He's a gentleman and puts her to bed even though she won't be honest with him about Travis.

Emma wakes up in the middle of the night to answer the phone when she hears what she thinks is someone inside the house. When she gets back to her room, Travis is inside. He's pissed because he found out about the jewelry. Emma hurries to get him some real stuff but Travis is a disgusting creep who thinks practically raping Emma is a better way to spend his time. Before it gets too far, Ethan shows up out of nowhere to kick his ass. Um. Why are all these men just able to walk right into this house? They must have the worst security system EVER. Emma is honest with Ethan about where she comes from and why she hid Travis (kind of) and he and Thayer threaten him if he ever comes back. Why do I feel like he's gonna show up to screw things up in the finale?

Poor Sutton is still in jail in Vegas stuck in Emma's life. Lucky for her, Alec is around to be creepy and bail her out of jail anonymously. He must be in the neighborhood because Annie called him up. I bet his day will be ruined once he hears that Annie escaped from the psych center. This episode was actually really good. So much happened and I'm starting to like it again.
