The Lying Game - East of Emma - Season Finale Recap

Sutton returns to Phoenix with her heart set on claiming her life and exposing Emma as an evil life stealer. Ethan encourages Emma and says he's ready to leave with her if that's what she decides to do. Emma refuses to leave things the way they are but she may have to if Sutton has anything to say about it.

She returns to town on their birthdays and it couldn't be a more hectic time to create a scene in front of the huge audience that will be at her party. Emma wants to tell the family the truth before Sutton can hurt them. Emma gives each parent a heartfelt speech and a hug but isn't able to tell them the truth after everything they've done for her.

Sutton arrives home and surprises her mother with her new attitude. How can they not tell the difference between an evil, spoiled bitch and Emma? She walks into her room just as Ethan is video calling her. She poses as Emma and talks to her former boyfriend and is shocked when he tells "Emma" that he loves her and never loved Sutton. Crazy Sutton is about to come out. She arranges for the three of them to meet at the cabin where she can verbally abuse Emma. Ethan is in the background being the voice of logic and reason but it's going unnoticed. Sutton is being so horrible. Man. I really hate her.

Emma goes to the bus station to run away after telling Ethan she can't stay. Her friend convinces her to face her problems head on and not be afraid of this. Thayer and Justin are each afraid of the men in Sutton's life. What are Alec and Sutton's dad hiding? Sutton is driving to her birthday party when someone that's been hiding in her backseat scares her and she drives into the ocean and knocks herself out. Who was in the backseat? At first I thought it was Alec but then Emma arrives to the party and she's all wet. Did she deliberately get rid of Sutton? Is she lying about not knowing where she is?

Emma prepares to make her grand speech to the crowd exposing who she really is but chickens out when she sees Annie outside. What is she doing there? This episode was great but I'm kind of disappointed at least one of her parents wasn't told who she really is.
