The Lost Lost Episodes - 16, 17, 18, 19

I've been so deliquent with this -- yeah too much American Idol and work really -- but I finally did a mini-Lost marathon of my recorded Lost episodes and all I can say is: gad, I love this show!
You know what Lost reminds me of? The drama of the X-Men comic books. The current X-Men are kinda sucky now, but that's another story. Anyways, the X-Men basically are at war with each other even if they are technically on the same team. Same goes for the Lost people. It's brilliant that they've been able to pull this off for TV.
This show is so freakin awesome!
Episode 16 - The Whole Truth or Sun's Immaculate Conception

I normally find the Sun-Jin stories a little on the boring side, but for this episode, I appreciated the complexity of Sun and Jin's relationship. I also liked the fact that they didn't really say who the father of Sun's baby really is. Everyone has some dark secret, which makes Lost really great.
Quote:
Ana Lucia: It's [the map] to his balloon.
Sayid: How did you get him to do this?
Ana Lucia: I asked nicely.
Sayid: Do Jack and Locke know about this?
Ana Lucia: Jack and Locke are too busy worrying about Locke and Jack.

Episode 17 - Lockdown - Locke Down!

OMG - One of the greatest episodes this season. The seduction of John Locke is in full gear, and the enemy is winning! Locke literally breaks with the metal doors crashing down his legs.
Quote (from the poker game):
Jack: Ten mangoes.
Sawyer: Call you with the aspirin and raise you a bottle of amoxicillin.

Episode 18 - Dave or Hurley Attacks!

Yippee! Another Hurley episode -- and let the mind games begin! This episode opens up a story angle that is sure to drive hard-core Lost fans crazy: what if this is all really Hurley's imagination? I'm telling you, shit happens when you don't take your meds. Haha. This episode is a classic if only for the scene where Hurley tackles Sawyer in his tent. Great stuff.
Quote (Hurley packs his bags):
Hurley: What?
Libby: That's a lot of peanut butter.
Hurley: I'm gonna need a lot of protein while i'm gone.

Episode 19 - S.O.S. or Rose and Bernard, part deux

Finally, this week's episode, which again since it starred Rose and Bernard is another feel-good episode. All the spritual stuff and "magic" have come into play now which is great. And all these characters are just amazing -- excellent, excellent writing.
Quote (Bernard tries to get Mr. Eko to help him):
Bernard: A church?
Mr. Eko: Yes.
Bernard: Everybody on this island is building something! I'm trying to get us saved.
Mr. Eko: People are saved in different ways Bernard.
Bernard: I think I liked you better when you just hit people with your stick.

If you've missed any epsiode, it looks like there will be repeats for some time before a new one. You can also get Lost via iTunes. I've linked the episodes in this post.
Ah yes. Lost. Love this show.
