The Glee Project - Season 2 Episode 7 - Video Recap - Theatricality

The theme for this week on The Glee Project is "Theatricality." According to Robert Ulrich, on TV, there's a fine line between keeping it real and still heightened.

Grant Gustin is the guest mentor!

The recap with video:

Homework Assignment

Song: "I Hope I Get It" from A Chorus Line

(Lily is so cocky. I hate her. She was trying to boss everyone around because she says she's "theater.")

Guest Mentor: Grant Gustin

Grant's notes:

"Michael your voice is fantastic."

"Nellie, I want to see you confident as well."

"Ali you are fantastic."

"Lily you are incredibly funny."

Winner: Ali!

Yay! Good for her.

Music Video

Song: "When I Grow Up" by the Pussycat Dolls

Concept: Each of them get to play a star in the video

Michael is Elvis. Aylin is Madonna. Abraham is David Bowie. Blake is Boy George. Lily is Cyndi Lauper. Ali is Katy Perry. Shanna is Lady Gaga. Nellie is Britney Spears.

Choreography with Zach

Lily doesn't know how Cyndi Lauper moves. (Sigh)

Vocals with Nikki

Michael didn't have a great session again. Oh no.

Video Shoot

Blake revealed that he had a homosexual brother. Cool!

Music Video

(This video was cute!)

Last Chance Performance

Ali was the MVP of the week. (She totally deserved it.)

Nellie sang "I'm the Only One"

(I didn't like this performance. I felt she struggled.)

Ryan Murphy said "That's the most passionate, I've ever seen you."

Abraham sang "Stereo Hearts"

(He rapped! Yes! Cute performance!)

Ryan said "You're a good little performer there Abraham."

Lily sang "Someone Like You"

(Whatever. She's no Adele, not even close.)

Ryan said "I was fascinated by that performance. You keep coming back here with excuses."

"She sucks the oxygen out of the room and that's her thing."

Results

Not called back: Nellie!

NOOOOOOO! It should have been Lily! I am so angry! NOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOO!

Next week: Physicality in an episode called "Tenacity". With Amber Riley!
