The Gates: Day 15

To be perfectly honest, I thought I had taken some very good pictures today, but apparently it was my off day again. Haha.

But oh, the humanity! People everywhere. I think everyone's trying to get a last glimpse of the Gates before they tear them down on Monday.

Here of course are those vendors selling pictures to unsuspecting tourists. If you think about it, why not just take your own pictures? It's just there! Besides, the pics they are selling look cheap (although they are cheap at $5).

Seeing these guys actually made me sick a little bit, since it's just blatant commercialism with heavy handed opportunism. It's something else to sell pictures of the Gates/Central Park which are bonafide works of art, but selling photos just because they have an orange structure on them is just plain wrong. Of course buying them is another discussion altogether.
