The Gates are Open!

The city is all a buzz right now. There are helicopters flying around seemingly covering what is happening at Central Park. I'm home now because I ran out of digital film and battery from my camera (and my fingers are numb!)

I was interviewed by NPR! The reporter asked me what to describe the color of the Gates for the listeners. Ummm... orange? It was hard to describe in words on the spot, though I ended up saying that they looked like sheets of paper and that looking at them will change over time. It will be a completely different experience to look at them at night or on a still day, etc.

There were a lot of people in the northern side of the Park where I was. Although not as many as the southern part as I have seen on TV. There were camera-wielding masses everywhere, and a few video crews as well. This dude was running around in his orange robe in bliss.

Quite lucky that I was here in the morning. This part of the Park is normally full of people in the day.
