The Event - Protect Them From The Truth - Recap

This week starts off with us learning that Sean and the cops he was with were involved in a car accident. I'm having a hard time understanding why a giant van didn't seem them on the road when there was no one else around. However, maybe it wasn't an accident. There are tons of people who want Sean dead. No one makes it but Sean and the female fbi agent. She's injured and after Sean nurses her back to health, he sneaks back to her office to try and find out the true identity of Leila's kidnapper. It's not long before Sean is caught and the fbi office finds itself under attack by the underground operation responsible for the whole mess. Sean flees with the agent whom he has managed to convince of his innocence.
The president decides to use his own tactics to get information. Sophia isn't talking so he goes to the prisoners and offers them freedom in exchange for information. William, a prisoner, agrees to help in exchange for his freedom and the freedom of his girlfriend, also a prisoner. William knows everything about everything and is willing to help out. I'm thinking it's too good to be true and I'm right. As promised, his girlfriend shows up to be with him but she kills him instead. Obviously she was put up to this to silence him in time. I was hoping we'd get a little information out of him at least. All we know now is that they mean business.
And if things aren't weird enough, the bodies of everyone from the plane crash are transported to a secret location while they try to cover-up what really happened to them. As a guard stands watch, everyone starts to wake up. What the heck?? Were they really dead? Were they..transformed? Into..whatever the prisoners are? Or do these "aliens" really have the power to kill and bring back to life? What do you think their agenda is?
