The Color Purple - Where it come from?

Spent 3 hours this morning at the Broadway Theater lining up for rush tickets to the Color Purple. Got there at 7 AM and I was fifth in line. The line increased to 12 by the time the box office opened at 10 so it was quite slow. However the feeling that once I got in line that I was actually watching the Color Purple tonight was worth the waking up early. The 3 hours breezed by quickly since I came prepared with my portable chair, comic books, computer book, cellphone (I called Apple Support since my iMac is dying) and my Nintendo DS -- which I will rave about in a future post. So I pretty much felt very productive this morning while in line. The people who waited with me were also quite pleasant so good times all around. I am watching the Color Purple with a friend who will be in the Philippines for 8 months -- it's my going-away/birthday gift for her.

Afterwards, I had a fight and then made up with the guys at The Container Store (pester me if you want to know what happened). Picked up my comic books for the week. Made an appointment for a new client next week. Got myself incorporated -- I have seal and stock certificates -- cool! Watched a few minutes of the Circus Amok in Union Square. And then called Apple again when I got home to diagnose my iMac. Fun times all around -- and I'm not even at the main event of the day yet.

So what does this mean? Well, sadly I will miss the two must-see reality shows tonight: Big Brother: All Stars and Celebrity Duets. I will have them recorded so I should have some clips of Jai Rodriguez, or whatever drama occurs on Big Brother that merits a clip. Before I go, I'll post some place-holders so you can discuss amongst yourselves and tell me what happens -- specially for Big Brother, which is a live HOH comp plus eviction!
