The critical acclaim given to The Butler translated in sales at the movie easily topped the box office. The Ashton Kutcher-fronted Steve Jobs biopic didn't perform well.

The Butler, which features an ensemble cast including Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and Cuba Gooding, Jr., raked in $25 million. We Are The Millers stayed in second with a great $17.8 million, and Kick-Ass 2 debuted at third with $13.6 million.

After it was given a mixed reception by critics, the public viewers didn't seem to be interest in of Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher. It came in seventh place with $6.7 million. Ouch.
