The Apple (1980) - Choreographed by Nigel Lythgoe

Hailed as one of the worst films of all time, The Apple (1980) was choreographed by none other than Nigel Lythgoe! Don't let the "worst film of all time" title scare you -- this movie is so bad, it's absolutely amazing. I cannot believe it exists. Everything about it is what you'd expect from a "worst film of all time" -- the story (!), acting, songs, lyrics, dancing, art direction -- everything -- it definitely delivers. A must see. The fact that Nigel Lythgoe is helming a version of this film IN REAL LIFE, makes The Apple (1980) even more amazing than it already is. Now we know where American Idol got it's inspiration for the red lights!
Also, to all you naysayers who believe that Nigel Lythgoe has no background in dance -- here's the evidence! All 90 minutes of it. I highly recommend that you get the DVD of The AppleImage: !
I watched The Apple tonight with Jim Cantiello and his wife at the Lincoln Center and now I a have BIM mark on my forehead for life. It's absolutely amazing. And Nigel Lythgoe: Thank you. Your choreography totally made this film the classic that it is.
