The 4th film by Quentin Tarantino
... is fantastic. Very violent, but very entertaining. Well done.
While walking home however, I thought about Manila and how a stupid Board of Censors would always leave the "questionable" stuff on the cutting floor. The result would normally be a patched up movie, and a total insult to the filmmaker and the moviegoer. This is usually done in the name of good Catholic morals and "we do not want our people to be currupted by this filth", but really, those guys just have no clue. I'm thinking just how much of Kill Bill will be cut, when all the gore is what makes the film really go.
So I guess this is my warm up to what looks like a good Fall movie season. Next in line: Lost in Translation, Matrix Revolutions (yes, I just have to know how this stupid trilogy finally ends), Cold Mountain and Lord of the Rings Trilogy Tuesday. Yup, it looks like I am really going to Rochester.
