Preparation

Shakira gave Tess “I’ll Be There For You” by Bon Jovi. She says it’ll be a big challenge since female vocalists have such a different register from male vocalists, but Tess loves that it’s a power ballad, since it allows her to draw on past relationships. Shakira tells her there are certain words in the song that are key, since Bon Jovi is so emphatic with the emotion of the song. Tess seems more than up to the challenge though.
