Terrence Howard cast as series regular in FOX's 'Wayward Pines'
Terrence Howard is heading back to the small screen. The actor has been cast as Sheriff Pope in FOX's upcoming series Wayward Pines.
Howard will join the M. Night Shyamalan-produced event series, Wayward Pines as Sheriff Pope. The project, based on the best selling novel of the same name, is "billed as a mind-bending new thriller set in a small town where nothing is what it seems."
His character will be " an old school lawman" who has a secret service agent, played by Matt Dillon, search for his two missing colleagues in his territory. Carla Gugino, Toby Jones and Melissa Leo will also star.
The series will premiere in 2014. Primarily a film star, Howard was last seen on TV as Senior DDA Joe Decker on the now defunct Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: LA.
