Teen Wolf - Season 2 Episode 4 - Full Video and Review - Abomination

Here's my recap and review of Teen Wolf Season 2 Episode 4: "Abomination."

Teen Wolf this week focuses on the new lizard-like monster in town called the Kanima. A few questions were answered, but not the most important one: Who is it? Lydia, Jackson or someone else?

We also witness firsthand the evil of Allison's grandfather Gerard Argent. He is so ruthless and pure evil.

Teen Wolf - Season 2 Episode 4

Recap:

The vet at the Animal Clinic tells the Argents (with Scott listening in from the other room) what kind of injuries their fallen member sustained last episode. The wound on the neck had a paralytic toxin. The Kanima paralyzes its victims first before killing. And as the vet pointed out, it doesn't kill to eat -- it kills for the sake of killing.

Gerard talks to Allison about trust. He is going to spend some "quality time" with his granddaughter -- apparently, for information gathering purposes.

Stiles is having his car repaired when he touches some gunk on the office door. He can't move. The Kanima makes an appearance and kills the mechanic by paralyzing him and pinning him with Stiles' car. Stiles gets a visual on the creature (it's a reptilian-looking thing), but it doesn't attack him. Later, after telling his father the police officer nothing, Stiles tells Scott that it looked like it "knew him." Dada Da Dum!

Stiles and Scott go on a mission to find out what the creature is. Scott mentions that the vet told him that the Argents may have a book which contains records of the creatures they have hunted. "A beastiary!" says Stiles -- which Scott confuses to be "beastiality." They coordinate with Allison in finding it.

Meanwhile, some asides:

Derek is frustrated while training his pack: Isaac, Erica and Boyd. They are not learning fast enough as there are new threats in town aside from the Argents.

The morning after the attack on the mechanic, Lydia wakes up covered in blood. Her mirror was smashed as well. Her mom sends her to the guidance counselor at school. Is she cutting herself?

Jackson asks Danny to look at the tape he recorded on the night of the full moon and try to enhance it. Later, during the lacrosse game, Danny comes back with the photographer Matt who tell him that there were two hours missing from the tape. It had been altered! Dada Da Dum!

The lacrosse game:

The plan is for Allison to try to get Gerard's keys so Stiles can go to the principal's office and look for a leather bound book she thinks might be the "beastiary". As part of Gerard's bonding with his granddaughter (and his duties as the new principal), they go to the lacrosse game together. Allison manages to the get the keys, and Stiles heads off to the principal's office -- stopping by a crying Lydia in her car on the way. The chat is short since he needed to look for the book asap.

Meanwhile on the field, the Beacon Hills team is getting beaten by a big guy from the opposing team. Scott doesn't want to bring his A-game because he fears that Gerard will notice. When one of the players go down, the coach is forced to bring in his substitutes -- but Stiles in nowhere to be found. He asks some help from the stands -- and Boyd volunteers! Erica who is with him says that Derek won't like it, but he goes on anyway.

Boyd immediately makes an impact -- but he's werewolf eyes start glowing -- which freaks out Scott. Scott then makes the last winning play which results in the big guy from the opposing team breaking Scott's leg. Allison rushes to his side. "I'm healing, I'm fine," says Scott. His mom comes over and so does Gerard. They are puzzled that Scott is able to stand up after hearing "bones crack" from the stands. Gerard then says, "Hold on. I just want to ask one more thing..." Dada Da Dum!

Stiles frantic search in the principal's office is cut short by Erica. She brings Stiles to the swimming pool to meet Derek. He wants more information about the incident with the mechanic. Stiles confesses and describes the lizard monster... which conveniently is now in the swimming area with them! The Kanima attacks, knocking out Erica and then paralyzing Derek. Derek falls into the pool and Stiles jumps in to save him.

Cut to the Argent's house with Allison's parents in the kitchen. Allison and Gerard arrive. And then Gerard introduces Scott. He had invited him for dinner!

Dinner was awkward. Everyone was uncomfortable, except for Gerard who was trying to be the "grandfather pairing his granddaughter up with the star player on the team." Allison's father was specially agitated since he didn't want Gerard to know that they know about Scott who is a werewolf. He and Scott had a confrontation in the kitchen. Somehow, Allison is able to excuse herself to go upstairs to look at homework with Scott. They use the time to look for the "book." Scott opens a safe with the help of his heightened hearing. They find the book -- and it turns out to be a cookbook. They real "beastiary"? It's in a flashdrive on Gerard's keychain now stuck on the door of the principal's office. Scott excuses himself from dinner to pick up his mother.

Meanwhile, Stiles has been in the pool with Derek for two hours. (LOL) The Kanima has hung around -- not able to swim. At one point, Stiles had to drop Derek (who was paralyzed from the neck down) to grab his cellphone at the side of the pool in an attempt to call Scott. At that time, Scott was still at the Argent's house and didn't talk to Stiles. Stiles was able to get Derek from the bottom of the pool after his attempt at help failed. Exhausted, Stiles reaches for the diving board -- but doesn't make it. Thankfully, Scott arrives and pulls Stiles and Derek out of the pool.

Scott battles the Kanima! He picks up a piece of glass he attempts to use as a knife. The Kanima sees it's reflection, then runs away.

Later, Scott and Stiles look at the beastiary flash drive and don't understand a thing. Derek then tells them that the monster is the "Kanima."

After seeing that it ran away after got it confused by it's reflection, Derek realized what it was. It's also a shapeshifter -- but it doesn't know who or what it was -- it's an abomination.

Scott arrives at the hospital to pick up his mother. He is surprised by Gerard who immediately stabs him in the stomach! Gerard says that Scott will do him a favor in the future or the knife goes in his mom.

OMG! EVIL!!!
