Taylor Swift to Perform at CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade

Taylor Swift continues to slowly, incrementally conquer the Earth. This time, by headlining a Thanksgiving Day tradition.

Fresh off the premiere of her latest music video, 'Blank Space', CBS announced that Swift will perform at its Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, airing from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Nov. 27. The press release suggests Swift will perform more than once, although it's uncertain just how many songs she'll perform.

The parade coverage will be hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and The Insider co-host Thea Andrews, and will feature performances from the casts of Broadway musicals Matilda and Pippin.

The CBS ceremony will compete with NBC's coverage of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will feature performances from Nick Jonas, Idina Menzel, Meghan Trainor, Kiss, Lucy Hale and Annie star Quvenzhane Wallis. Will Swift be enough to draw audiences away?

Well, she is one of the biggest stars on the planet right now, and 1989 is one of the most successful albums in years. So it wouldn't be that surprising if she managed to get more than a few people to turn the channel over to CBS on the big day.
