Taylor Swift Headlining Ryan Seacrest's 'New Year's Rockin' Eve'
Taylor Swift is kicking off 2015 in a big way.
In conjunction with the release of her new album, 1989, Swift has signed on to headline Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
The event will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 8:00 PM ET from Times Square in New York City, and Swift will perform "her hit songs" (no specifics just yet on what songs she'll be performing, but it's generally accepted that, as with any successful artist, Swift is more of a draw than the songs she's actually performing).
“Each year New Year’s Rockin’ Eve continues its iconic legacy by delivering incredible performances from the year’s hottest artists, and this year is no exception," said host and executive producer Ryan Seacrest. "We already have secured an unprecedented number of music acts, culminating with a Times Square performance by Taylor, the biggest superstar in music today."
Other performers are expected to be added to the lineup in the coming weeks.
