Taylor Swift, Cher, Pitbull, Selena Gomez added to 'Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular'

NBC's annual airing of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular has added some stars to go with all the stripes.

Taylor Swift, Cher, Pitbull and Selena Gomez have been added to the list of performers, which already includes Mariah Carey and Tim McGraw. The two-hour special will be hosted by America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon.

In addition, for the first time in the history of the show, a musician will be collaborating with Macy's creative and pyrotechnic teams. And that musician is none other than eight-time Grammy Award winner, Usher.

The Voice season four coach will be "curating" the overall design of the show, which will be titled "It Begins with a Spark." Everything from the musical selections to the fireworks themselves will feature Usher's distinctive stylistic flourishes.

The special will air this Thursday, July 4, from 8-10 p.m. ET, with an encore one-hour fireworks special airing at 10 p.m. on NBC.
