Taylor Henderson - Some Nights - The X Factor Australia Grand Final 2013 - Video

Taylor Henderson sang “Some Nights” on The X Factor Australia 2013 Grand Final.

This was Taylor's song for the Audition round, and I hate saying it, but I actually enjoyed his audition version a lot more. I can see what they were going for by bringing in the full band instead of leaving it as the stripped-back acoustic version Taylor originally performed, since they want to chart his growth to the grandeur of this finale. But I wish they'd taken a more restrained approach, because I feel like he got buried underneath all the excess of the arrangement. Ah well, I still liked his vocal, for the most part.
