Taking the Stage 2 - Making Connections - Columbus Short

Finally some nice Mia Carruthers and Tyler Nelson moments on this show -- although it was mostly "career" related and not the relationship stuff which were awesome last season. We had a couple of minutes of Tyler and Mia talking in a record store -- which unfortunately was just too short.
Anyway, Mia Carruthers opens for an Ingrid Michaelson concert. Woohoo! She sang a couple of songs in her EP (and Breathe You In), while the drama in the Ian-Emily-Adam love triangle happened in the audience. Boo. I think Emily should just stick with Ian. Adam is kind of a douche.
Meanwhile, Tyler Nelson hopes to impress choreographer Columbus Short from the movie Stomp the Yard. He performs with a step crew from the school -- and of course he's the star and even wears a different shirt so he can stand out. He gets a call from Chuck Maldonado the choreographer of Stomp the Yard 2 at the end of the episode to audition! I hope Tyler got/gets it. I would watch that. He does a backflip in the cafeteria while everyone cheers him on -- Tyler is the star of his school -- awesome.
Here's a video of Mia doing some bars from the Ingrid Michaelson concert and Mia giving a piano lesson on how to play her song "Gray" from MTV.
