Take Two - And Take Them Home.

(Here’s the results show recap from Howard!)

American Idol Season 8, Top 07 Elimination Take 2 (Literally)

The buzz across the internet is all about the double elimination this evening, wondering who is leaving tonight with Lil. Will the makeup of the bottom 3 be the same as last week, with Matt and Anoop joining Lil on the seal? Or will there be a new friend joining the group, be it Allison, Danny, Kris or Adam. And how will we find out about it? Will they divide the group in 2 groups of 3, and have some unlucky sap pick who is safe? That was due up last week, but the save took that off the table.Or will the 2 groups have 2 safe and I eliminated contestant? Ah, so many questions...

No one is safe, says Crusty. This is American Idol. A medley of disco hits choreographed by award winning dancer/choreographer Paula, and an appearance by David Archuleta!

We go to rehearsals, and Paula looks good, and is working them hard! The performance is to a pre-taped track, and it isn't looking good. LOL They give her flowers, and she kisses and gropes her way through the idols. Kris looked hot!

Ford video to 'I'm Good, I'm Gone' which was cute, but not too special. But it leads us to the start of the process. Lil first, and she goes to the far side of the stage. Saying nice things, then the abrupt 'the journey ends tonight... So sing! Her 'I'm Every Woman' is better tonight than last night. Still not great, but good.

Freda Payne sings Band Of Gold, and has an oops... K-Lo kicked her ass on this song. Now Thelma Houston singing 'Don't Leave Me This Way'. Here's KC & The Sunshine Band singing 'Get Down Tonight'. Overall, those performances were not good. And I am being polite.

Kris stands up, and he is safe. Adam is next. And he is safe. Gokey is next, and wants to fix the clumsey thing, and he is safe. Now Anoop, and he is bottom 3. Allison up next, and chatting about changing it up. Matt is beside her. Matt is safe, and Allison is bottom 3.

Now Archie comes back on the stage to sing ''Touch My Hand.' A little breathy, but sounded good. And looks great. He was sweet with the contestants.

Over 45 million votes, setting a new record. And it is Anoop Desai who is going home. He sings rather well. Good for him. And we see their journeys. Lot's of love on their way out, for the other Idols, and AI staff. Both Lil and Anoop leave with smiles and some class.
