Synchronized Swimming Duet Finals - London 2012 Olympics - Results
It has been a long time since I last watched any synchronized swimming and I have to say that what I watched today was not at all what I was expecting. The routines have become so dramatic and quirky now. I'm not really sure what I just watched, but I kind of love it.
Here are your medal results for the London 2012 Synchronized Swimming Duets Finals:
I can only describe synchronized swimming as like Cirque Du Soleil in the pool. While some routines were a bit more traditional than others, many were very quriky, even edgy, with lots of drama and plenty of impressive tricks. Similar to figure skating in the winter games, the routines receive marks for technical merit and artistic impression.
Definitely a very entertaining event that has quickly become one of my favorites.
Results:
Gold: Natalia Ishchenko & Svetlana Romashina - Russia
Silver: Ona Carbonell Ballestero & Andrea Fuentes Fache - Spain
Bronze: Xuechen Huang & Ou Liu - China
Congratulations to all the medalists!
