Syesha Mercado - Writes to Me on MySpace - 07/05/08

Syesha Mercado sent me a message on her MySpace:

Wow! One down how many more to go?lol. Tonight was a crazy night. We started out early and ended around 12:45 am got on the bus and drove to CA. Went to the hotel and slept a little bit longer. I was so exhausted. [I am too Syesha! We have so much in common now! -- Rickey]

You would think after all this time I wouldn't be nervous, but I was. Right before I went on I had dry mouth. David Cook stood backstage with me as I was spraying dry mouth spray in my mouth for the first time. I heard the crowd cheering for Jason really loud and it was my turn already. My heart was just about to pop out of my chest. CRAZY! The crowd was great.

I had a gorgeous dress the stylist picked out for the show, but it didn't work out, so I wore something else, that was picked out the day of, so that made me a little nervous. Still working out the kinks. I'm trying to get comfortable in the new dress. MMMMMmmmmmmmmm.............next show..let's see how i feel.

[I'll wait until Syesha Mercado finally gets her groove before we listen to her on the American Idol Tour live video blogging. Apparently, she's not ready and nervous -- so it was a good call on my part not to listen to her at all at this point in time. See? Like a true fan, I know her. I'd only want to listen to her when she's really ready... and when I'm in the mood, maybe next month. Go Fanesha 300! Should I start recruiting again?]
