'Survivor' Spoilers: Cast and Location Revealed for Season 33
The cast has been revealed for Survivor Season 33! While CBS has yet to announce the cast or the location for next season, sources have revealed 19 of the 20 new castaways competing for the million dollar prize next season, as well as the location where the new season will be shooting.
The official title and theme of the season is yet to be disclosed, but Redmond of Inside Survivor reveals that Season 33 will shoot in Fiji, confirming an earlier report that both Seasons 33 and 34 would take place in the South Pacific country. In addition, the new season will feature 20 all-new castaways, which seems to suggest we might be getting four tribes of five, like we did in Cook Islands. But I guess that all depends on what the theme ends up being. With a pastor and a missionary recruiter among the cast, I have a vague concern they might go with a religious theme of some sort. Then again, I don't think CBS would want to court controversy so directly. Of course, I said the same thing about a season divided by race, but Cook Islands still happened (and hey, it was a pretty great season that gave us a lot of great characters like Penner, Ozzy, Parvati and Yul).
But I digress. Who will be competing for the $1 million? Well, it's an interesting collection of professionals, youths, one YouTuber that fans of Smosh Games should recognize, and even the Iron Chef CEO! The cast also skews a bit older here, with 11 castaways over the age of 30. Here's hoping we're in for another great season like the past year has given us, between Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance and Survivor: Kaoh Rong.
