Survivor: Nicaragua - Running the Camp
OK I give up. I don't think CBS can edit Survivor: Nicaragua any better than they have. This season stinks.
The old vs. young thing was really a bad idea on hindsight.
Reward Challenge: The tribe is divided into 2 random teams for an obstacle course
Surprisingly, it became men vs. women. Chase who was not selected chose to back the women.
The men won easily, and they won a trip to a spa and barbecue.
At the reward, the men strategize with Marty -- but it was stupid since we know Sash is in a solid alliance with Brenda and nothing was going to come out of it without Brenda's blessing. They wanted to flush out the idol from Naonka and backdoor Jane -- to cripple "Brenda's power".
It was an interesting idea -- but more importantly, it showed how the alliances have developed in the tribe -- and it kinda stinks. I'm curious why they are showing that Sash and Brenda are "running the show" so early -- something must have happened (or so we hope).
Immunity Challenge: Memory game
Marty and Brenda were the last two, but Brenda prevailed and won immunity. So close Marty!
Back at the tribe, the men put their plan in motion, but so did the women (with Chase): to get rid of Marty.
Fabio: "I hate playing stupid, but it's the smartest thing to do."
In the end, it came down to Sash and Brenda on who they wanted out, and if they wanted to scare Naonka into using her idol.
Benri, Fabio and Dan broke away from the main group to join Marty in voting Jane.
However, Sash and Brenda chose to get rid of Marty to appease Jane finally.
Naonka didn't use her idol and was so confident during tribal council, Jeff Probst was speechless. To paraphrase Jeff: "You sound like you are certain you will be in the final even after the stealing incident and the tribe not liking you."
Marty was voted off.
What do you guys think? The show got so boring all of a sudden. I'm kinda rooting for Fabio now, but it seems hopeless.
Next week we got some "OMG what happened" previews. Did the camp burn down?
