I'm very happy to see some of my favorites again on TV:
J.T. - winner of Tocantins
Stephenie - from Palau and Guatemala
I'm rooting for the "Heroes" by default - and their team has so many others to like such as Cirie, James, Rupert and Tom
The "Villains" scare me, except for Parvati who is too pretty to be with these bad guys. Evil Russell is there. Boston Rob. Coach. Yikes. Will they actually get along?
Tonight's episode starts with the tribes getting dropped off in military helicopters, then immediately goes into the Reward Challenge for Flint.
It was brutal from the get go, so many banging bodies. Stephenie dislocated her shoulder. Rupert fractured a toe. Sugar eventually competed topless when Sandra swiped her bra off.
Another highlight was Coach betting Colby in a physical match-up (which Coach could not believe himself, I'm sure). And really: James is a friggin' tank.
The Heroes win the reward and go off to camp with flint and are happy. The build a camp. Tom catches some chickens. The camp is very happy.
Over at the Villains - amazingly not too much discord. In fact, Jerri and Coach end up starting a showmance! WTF. The Black Widow and the Dragon Slayer. Ewww.
Evil Russell is being himself again trying to power his way with the tribe - but clearly these are smart people he is dealing with, they know his game.
Boston Rob is frustrated at the complacency of his tribe and decides to build a fire from scratch with just wood -- and succeeds! I'm very impressed.
Since this is a 2-hour episode, we saw a lot of politics on both tribes, which I loved to see.
In particular the J.T. and James alliance was awesome to see, as well as J.T. also aligning with Tom. Stephenie however has a weak social game, but hopefully the tribe keeps her as a "female James".
Immunity Challenge: Boat Race + Puzzle
Heroes start off strong on the boat, but stall badly with the puzzle. The Villains come from behind as the Heroes could not solve the puzzle... at all. Were they really that stupid?
Anyway...
Tribal Council:
Fancy tribal council digs 40 feet in the air!
Heroes vote off Sugar unanimously. She was the weakest link. It's too early to get rid of players for "strategical purposes". They need to win challenges first to whittle down the other team.
Love this season already. Go J.T. You can do this!
