Survivor: Cook Islands - Merge as One
SPOILER
(Note: I'm blogging from another computer, so screencaps later)
Ah yes, the big merge. Raro's 5 to Aitu's 4. This is going to be exciting.
A lot things going on. People talking. Nate being friendly with Ozzy. Adam being friendly with Parvati. Yul "thinking".
And then a stroke of brilliance from Yul. He decides that the only way they can get the numbers back on their side is to turn Jonathan back to Aitu using the individual immunity idol. Yul tells Ozzy and Sundra who are now excited at the prosepect of going into the Final 4 after facing such bad odds. It is now up to Yul to convince Jonathan -- or shall we say, threaten into submission?
After the immunity challange, which Ozzy won after a grueling "I can last longer on top of my pole than you" match-up with Candice, the turning of Jonathan continues. After losing Ozzy as an option, the Raro tribe is convinced that Yul should be voted out. Nate and Adam even have a conference that the "two of them are running the show" and not Jonathan. This leaves Jonathan in a bind because Yul basically tells him, if you don't join us, Aitu will vote you out, since Yul would use the individual idol.
So Jonathan weighs his options and in bargaining with Aitu, Yul tells him that Jonathan can even choose the person he wants them to vote out that night. Jonathan says Nate, but Aitu of course still doesn't trust him completely.
Tribal council and votes are read...
Yul - 4
Nate - 5
Raro and Aitu are shocked! I'm shocked! But is it really shocking given Jonathan's snake-like nature? (Yul you are a genius!)
And so Jonathan just cemented himself as the ultimate Judas in Survivor history. Haha. Hey, in his mind at least he's still around, probably until top 5, and he can fight his way with individual immunity challenges after that. Still worth a shot. Everyone plays this game differently, and if you think flat out betraying everyone in their face is the way to do it, then more power.
Go Yul! Go Ozzy!
