Survivor: Cook Islands - Integration

A most unbelievable merge just happened.

Very briefly now at what happened tonight:

The tribes get divided into males and females, and 2 males and 2 females get selected randomly as the first people to choose their teammates. The females go first, and begin forming their teams -- you cannot select a member of your previous tribe, which guarantees a good mix. The males do the same. So we get 2 female groups of 5 and 2 male groups of 4. The females and males are then randomly paired via "matching colored broken eggs" -- gad, my mind is so not working... anyway... so 2 groups of 9, the new Aitu and Raro tribes.

We pretty much get the "buff" blue Raro team with muscled men Brad, Adam, JP and Nathan. And Yul's red Aitu team. I have to say that it was a great merge since seeing the mix of characters after they were segregated was visually refreshing, and everyone was excited about it. We can also see here how the original Aitu team did a diservice to themselves by throwing last week's immunity challenge -- they gained nothing individually or as a group, and missed a chance at giving one of the 2 teams a lemon in Billy.

The new Aitu team start early with alliances as Jonathan and Yul team up with Becky and Candice. However, they lose the immunity challenge as it was apparent that their men were not as strong as the other team's. Furthermore, the Raro team choose Candice to go to Exile so Yul just lost a vote. Ozzy and his girls upon the suggestion of Cao Boi plot to vote out Becky. Yul and Jonathan then try to convince Cao Boi (ironically) and Jessica that its a bad idea, and want Cecelia out instead. The tribal council was exciting as the vote was split 5-3... and Cecelia is voted out. Poor Ozzy!

I have just have to hand it to Survivor for the never-ending supply of eye-candy. Hotness favors no enthnicity. Go Survivor.
