Survivor: China - Episode 08 - High School Friend Contest
Survivor: China
It was an interesting result tonight, and quite a nice outcome actually.
For the reward challenge, the tribe is separated into two groups of 4. In the schoolyard picking of teams, Denise is not picked so she is ineligible for the reward. The team of James, Todd, Jean Robert and Amanda win a nice dinner and a clue to the hidden immunity idol. It's actually quite funny because it turns out that everybody in the tribe knows that James has both immunity idols except Jean Robert. Now that's being not in the know. So much for his game being on.
At anyrate, Peih Gee makes a play to get Jean Robert out with the guys back in camp. It seems that Denise is on the fence (or on the outs) with her original tribe, which will become evident in the voting during tribal council.
Jean Robert looks for the hidden immunity idol on his own, and picks up one of those square blocks (like Jaime from last week). He talks to Erik in private, trying to make a power play, and tells him that he has an immunity idol. Erik then gives Jean Robert the bad news: James (your best friend) has both immunity idols. Hahaha. Jean Robert then plots to get rid of James.
Courtney wins the immunity challenge. I know it's not just me, but Frosti is really hot right now. He's my favorite. Hope he wins it all.
(I've included a video clip of Frosti singing!)
And the eighth person voted out and the second member of the jury in Survivor: China is...
Jean Robert!
It was an interesting vote:
Todd -- Jean Robert
Amanda -- Jean Robert
Courtney -- Jean Robert
Frosti -- Jean Robert
James -- Jean Robert
Jean Robert -- James
Erik -- James
Peih Gee -- James
Denise -- Peih Gee (what they didn't tell her? and they expect her to vote with them for the next two votes which were supposed to be Erik then Frosti?)
How these pairs will play out will be interesting: Todd/Amanda, Frosti/Courtney, Erik/Peih Gee. Looks like Peih Gee will drop Erik at any time.
As much as the half-naked gravedigger look is really great to watch on TV, I hope that James really does get blind-sided. I doubt that the remaining players are that stupid to let James run away with the game having 2 immunity idols "out in the open". Could it happen in what looks like a double elimination next week?
