Let's get this show on the road!

AFTER TRIBAL COUNCIL

-Everyone is stunned that Spencer had an idol at the last tribal council, and Jefra is suddenly worried about the possibility of having to face Spencer and Tasha at the end. Spencer admits he used the idol wrong, and laments that now the idol and his ally are both gone. Kass, for her part, had an inkling Spencer had an idol because he wasn't acting "mean enough" at tribal council. Spencer boasts that he found the idol on the same day "Woo stole the clue" (okay, Spencer, you need to give that up already. It was your own fault for leaving it folded between your pants instead of actually keeping it with you, or destroying it once you didn't need it anymore). In a confessional, Kass explains that Spencer was being selfish with his idol use, which is exactly what she expected of a twentysomething male, since she argues that there's no one more selfish than a college-age male. (Is she trying to be the most obnoxious person out there?)

-The next day, everyone is stoked to discover wallets of money in the tree mail, which can mean only one thing: the Survivor auction! But Tony is more nervous than excited. He plans on doing everything he can on keeping any kind of advantage out of Spencer or Tasha's hands. I wonder how Tasha is handling all this? I wish we heard more from her in the show, and not just in the weekly batch of deleted scenes.

SURVIVOR AUCTION

-Everybody has $500, bidding is in $20 increments, and neither food nor money can be shared. Also, as usual, the bidding will end without warning, so castaways are encouraged to act while they can!

-Trish buys the first reward, which is popcorn, candy, and a soft drink. It costs her $80. Jefra is next, purchasing a mystery item for $100. She fears it's a pig's head, but it turns out it's quesadillas, salsa, and guacamole, with a margarita to wash it all down. Kass buys the next mystery item, unopposed, for $20. Probst offers to trade her what she's bought for a different mystery item, but Kass decides to stick with what she had. Turns out she picked correctly: she got a steak sandwich and iced tea. In a confessional, Tony notes how his stomach is in knots, but he wants that advantage. Kass asks if she can share her reward, but Jeff reiterates that she can't.

-Trish buys the reward Kass gave up for $60. It's rice and a glass of water (Trish: "OHHHH GROSS! IT'S RICE!")

-Woo buys the next reward, some ribs and a cold beer. Spencer, in a confessional of his own, says he wishes he could get the food, since so few people are actually bidding on it, but he needs to hold out for something more. However, he admits that watching everyone eat is hard. Woo then gets downright pornographic with the ribs, savoring every bite and moaning about them, describing their taste and flavor in creepy fashion. So strange, but weirdly entertaining.

-Finally, Jeff reveals the next reward: "an advantage in this game." However, there's a catch: if two people tie in the bid with the maximum of $500, they're no longer playing for the advantage, they're playing for the opportunity to draw rocks for the advantage. Tasha, surprisingly, chooses not to bid, after all that waiting without buying a thing. Only Tony and Spencer bid. They draw rocks, and because the Survivor gods apparently love only one person and absolutely no one else this season, Tony gets the clue. And like that, the auction is over. In a confessional, Tasha reveals that she was hoping for a swerve, with Probst auctioning off one last item, which she'd hoped would be a clue to the hidden immunity idol. But she was wrong, and now she leaves empty-handed.

SOLARRION

-Tony laments that the advantage might be a waste, in the sense that he's so weak from having not eaten, that someone like Woo, who's just eaten a plate of ribs, could neutralize his advantage when it comes down to it. Spencer, for his part, is bitter at having lost, and declares himself one of the unluckiest men in the history of Survivor auctions.

-Tony is angry that the women don't want to do anything around camp, particularly since they've just had a full meal. He decides to read his advantage in private, and it's...ANOTHER IDOL CLUE?! OH COME THE HELL ON! ANOTHER FRIGGING IDOL?! And THIS late in the game?! And TONY is going to find it?! This is absolutely absurd. This show has gone so far overboard on the idols that I'm starting to think of them less as an interesting twist and more like an outright gamebreaker.

-Tasha decides to make waves by working over the women in Tony's alliance, hoping he'll see her talking to them, leading to Tony's paranoia and doubt resurfacing. Spencer tries to work Tony by telling him Jefra wanted him gone, saying she wanted to 100% blindside Tony. Spencer admits, in a confessional, that he's simply trying to stoke Tony's paranoia by planting the seeds of doubt about an all-girls alliance. "Tony's crazy. Tony is willing to play hard, but not always well," Spencer says, and gee, I wonder who else that phrase could apply to this season?

-Tony is leery of trusting Spencer outright since he's desperate, but he feels the telltale signs are there for this to be the truth. "I'll take matters into my hands like I always do."

STRATEGY SESSION

-Kass and Trish have a chat in the water, and while Trish talks about how much she likes Spencer, and how he's going to be great at life, Kass is ready to vote him out. She's confident with the alliance of five they've got, since it means they can vote out either Spencer or Tasha, no matter which of them wins immunity.

-Back at camp, the crab they've had in their possession dies, so Tony decides to go hunting for the hidden immunity while the crab gets cooked. And because he's Tony, he finds it with almost no trouble whatsoever. I swear, I'm at my absolute wits' end with these damn idols. Tony is more or less the new Russell Hantz, at this point. Well, except that he's finding more interesting ways to use the idols. He decides to wear the idol back to camp and show his alliance that he's protected. Jefra looks absolutely disgusted to see Tony wearing an idol, as her blindside plans are pretty much out the window now, not that she necessarily had the numbers to make it work anyway (and this is without even getting into Tony's secret possession of the super-idol).

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

-The contestants must go digging in the dirt for a rope they must then pull through a course, digging for bags at various stations. Once they get to the end, they must untie the bags to release a set of five balls which they must then guide through a table maze. All five balls must land in five separate pockets at the end of the maze. The first person to do this wins immunity.

-Tasha takes a commanding lead, proving that she's an absolute challenge monster, getting to the table maze portion leagues ahead of just about anyone else. She's already on her third ball by the time anyone even lands their first. However, Woo gives her a run for her money, landing his third just as Tasha struggles with her fourth. Tasha manages to land her fourth as Trish and Kass are basically out of this challenge altogether. Woo gets his fourth ball as it's a race to the finish.

-It's a photo finish as Tasha and Woo have their final ball in alignment at practically the same time. But it's Tasha who's able to swing it first.

TASHA wins Immunity!

Credit: CBS

-Incredible victory for Tasha, and her third in a row! I think Tasha now has to be considered a SERIOUS threat to win this game, given what an absolute challenge beast she is. So much respect right now. All she does is win, win, win, no matter what. Got immunity on her mind, and she never gives it up.

-Of course, now the question is, does Tony blindside a woman to break up the rumored all-girl alliance Spencer planted in his head? Do the women even consider blindsiding a guy? Or do they decide they need to keep someone like Woo around to stop Tasha from winning her way to the end of the game? It's a tricky balance to strike.

BACK AT CAMP

-Everyone congratulates Tasha, and she notes how vital this immunity was, since everyone is reconsidering alliances right now. Tasha wants Tony to be suspicious of the girls, and so she, smartly, wants to continue being seen talking to them, in order to convince Tony that one of his female allies is going to flip. In a confessional, Tony reveals that Tasha would be going home tonight if she didn't win immunity. But now he's in an unenviable position, because if he stays true to his alliance and lops off Spencer, it means the girls have even bigger numbers against the guys now. So he pulls Woo aside and tells him they need to vote Jefra, in order to keep the male/female numbers even. However, he can't tell Trish or Kass he's planning this, so he'll need Tasha and Spencer to make this work.

-Tony pulls Spencer aside and tells him the plan, and then tells him he'll need to be the one to relay the info to Tasha. Spencer is confident Tasha will do something to keep him in the game, so he meets with her and breaks the good news. Tasha is ecstatic, although Spencer is still nervous about the possibility that Tony won't stick to his word. So he goes searching for the super idol (unaware that Tony has it), which Tony finds troubling. Tony is irritated that Spencer is off searching for the super idol while he's trying to form a plan to save him. This makes him nervous because Jefra just isn't a threat in the same way Spencer is. So Tony is reconsidering his plan. Either way, it's going to be Jefra or Spencer tonight.

TRIBAL COUNCIL

-Spencer admits he's helpless without an idol or immunity. Tony admits that Spencer talked to him about the possibility of the girls blindsiding him, so Tony decides to nip it in the bud by pulling out his idol (the non-super idol) and putting it on, saying he's not going to be the one blindsided tonight. Kass tries to stick up for Jefra by saying she just needed time to get over her initial anger over the LJ blindside, since she didn't know it was coming, but Tony says that's exactly what a blindside is, something people aren't supposed to know about (hey, the man is right). Spencer feels he played well and he played hard, and he can go home happy with that. But he feels the dominant alliance would be making a mistake if they just picked off himself and Tasha without realizing they could make a big move. He says the biggest mistake people make in this game is not making the right move they could have made, when they could have made it.

-It's time to vote! In her vote against Spencer, Kass declares, "I saved you once, I'm not saving you again." Spencer, meanwhile, votes against Jefra and says you have to play the game before you get played.

JEFRA is voted out of Survivor: Cagayan!

-Jefra: "Good job, guys." She gets her torch snuffed, looks back, and wishes everyone luck before leaving. Another week, another blindside! In her exit interview, Jefra says that if Tony wanted her gone, that must have meant Woo joined with him. However, she says she doesn't live with bitterness, so she's letting it go.

-I don't know if this was the right move for Tony, per se. But it's not a move that's going to hurt him. He's neutralizing the threat of an all-female alliance by lopping off an alliance-mate he could afford to lose. Of course, Tony's continued success depends on Kass and Trish not being bitter about the Jefra blindside. Tony's idols keep him safe up to Top 5, but he'll still have another tribal council to go before the end, and he hasn't exactly proven himself to be a challenge threat, so he'll need to be in an alliance that will willingly take him to the end. Granted, Tony is playing a savvy game in that he appears to be playing the kind of game a jury would be bitter towards him for, which means others would probably like to go to the end with him. But Tony has actually been playing a fairly skillful, straightforward game, to the point where I think a jury would happily give him the million, provided he's not there against, say, Tasha. It speaks to the relative skill of what Tony's doing that he's been able to maintain such control over the game without having to actually play either of the idols he has. It would just be a bit more impressive if he was doing it without said idols.
